I haven’t risen to a challenge lately–not a card challenge. Simon Says Stamps posted a Wednesday challenge with the prompt, “Recycled.” I often reuse items for creating, so knew I needed to dedicate some time to play with this.
This card utilizes the liner from a stockholder proxy envelope for the background. I like mail and correspondence–and the variety of envelope liners I see.
A Lawn Fawn stitched circle die was used on a page from Sierra magazine and stamped with a stamp from SSS “Sending.”
Paper from magazines and envelopes was used to stamp the little envelopes, also from SSS “Sending.”
I cut the word “Correspondence” from Tim Holtz fabric of that name.
The faux-washi dotted tape is stamped from the “Sending” set.
A blue and white polka dotted paper with a faint overlay of script on it adds another punch of circles and dots and a another bit of blue.
I may create more along this theme–I just paw through the recycle basket in my sewing room and find all kinds of bits I can incorporate into cards!
